As the Clinical Supervisor, is responsible to oversee the clinical support staff to include work allocation, general performance, workflow efficiency, competency and accountability. Is responsible for staff training, including new employee orientation, for all aspects of health care delivery, including Joint Commission readiness. Performs as the primary liaison with the physicians to improve communication between the hospital inpatient unit, administrative and clinical staff, Office Supervisor and Administration. Attends meetings and participates in performance improvement efforts at both the clinic and department level. Develops and leads clinical staff in a team approach to ensure optimum flow of patient care daily for all providers. Ensures healthcare needs of patients are prioritized based on medical urgency.
The Clinical Supervisor is able to perform various aspects of clinical duties in the clinic to include rooming patients when needed. Is responsible for setting up and overseeing Non-Stress Tests performed in the clinic. The Clinical Supervisor is accountable to the Physicians, Office Supervisor, and Administrative Director of the Department for the safe delivery of quality patient care. Patient population includes: all age groups to include adolescents, adults and geriatrics.
EDUCATION:
Associates Degree in Health Care related field
