SUMMARY
The Risk Management Specialist will be responsible for day-to-day management of RealPage’s global insurance programs. RealPage is a growing enterprise software company focused on serving the residential real estate market. RealPage has diverse operations including software as a service, business process outsourcing, money transmission, network/IoT installation and insurance brokerage which create unique cyber, professional liability and crime risk exposures. This position reports to the Director, Risk Management and is supported by an analyst in India.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Help assess insurable global risk exposures and recommending loss mitigation strategies with the support of the company’s insurance broker.
- Lead negotiations of insurance provisions of customer and vendor contracts, as necessary.
- Assist in insurance renewal process, including exposures, submissions, and coverage analysis.
- Procure and manage surety bond requirements for money transmission business with the support of the company’s insurance broker.
- Assist in audits of insurance programs.
- Oversee administration of certificates of insurance across all operations with the support of dedicated analyst and insurance broker.
- Coordinate with legal department to report and investigate all non-casualty claims against the company.
- Assist in the management of casualty claims (workers’ compensation, general liability, auto liability and ancillary lines) through resolution.
- Support in creation of various reports, spreadsheets, and graphics for meetings and presentations.
- Assist with insurance and Risk Management due diligence reviews for mergers and acquisitions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree required preferably in business with a concentration in insurance / Risk Management, accounting, or finance.
- 3-5 years of related experience in Risk Management (Risk Management, commercial insurance, or brokerage) including the management of claims and insurance renewals.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Must be able to travel to Richardson, TX office once or twice a week.
- Strong organizational, customer service and team skills.
- Ability to be flexible, manage competing priorities and deadlines in a complex, dynamic environment.
- Proficient computer skills and strong Excel/PowerPoint abilities.
- Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and results oriented individual, able to achieve high impact in an unstructured environment and the ability to deal with ambiguity.
