GENERAL FUNCTION:

The MSB Risk Management Liaison is primarily responsible for collaborating with the BSA/AML Department in the oversight, and evaluation of MSB account activity. This individual will also be responsible for providing support to Relationship Managers (RMs), MSB Credit Personal, and/or MSB Division Manager on various tasks for new and existing MSB relationships including credit and risk-based analysis. The Risk Management Liaison will work directly with the MSB Manager in ensuring that the MSB Division is in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, RBC, and MSB policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Engages regularly with BSA Department on MSB related tasks.
  2. Partners with BSA Department in assessing MSB transactional activity, which may require outgoing communications with MSB customers to obtain supporting documents.
  3. Provides support to BSA Department in the Due Diligence Periodic Review process.
  4. Provides BSA Department support in conducting client calls, via phone, online or site visit.
  5. Supports Administration Officer in collection of BSA AML related documentation.
  6. Manages MSB Watchlist providing updates to Manager and/or Chief Credit Officer.
  7. Maintains and monitors customer relationships that MSB has targeted to exit.
  8. Conducts periodic background assessments on clients and prospects.
  9. Provides financial analysis support to RMs, Credit Personal, and/or Division Manager in preparation of new and existing MSB account review memorandums.
  10. Completes special projects as required by senior management.

  • Work directly with the bank's client base, demonstrating the highest level of professionalism in order to develop/deepen customer relationships and enhance the overall marketing effort of the bank.


Required Skills

  • A high degree of interpersonal skills and the ability to work directly with companies and their owners as well as the various bank departments upon which the division is dependent.
  • The ability to effectively listen to customers and offer appropriate solutions for them to grow their business.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Office computer skills including the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint).
  • Qualitative analytical skills.


Required Experience

  • Experience within the MSB industry is preferred.
  • College degree recommended.
