Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of relevant experience Preferred to be in finance, accounting or related business management field, Master's Degree Preferred to be in finance, accounting or related business management field
- 7 years of progressive experience in performing high level risk assessment, particularly as it applies to the financial services industry.
- 7 years of experience in the financial services industry reviewing trends, making recommendations based on findings, analyzing risks, and creating mitigation strategies
- 5 years of experience in analysis and/or development of Control Testing Programs, Issue Management and Remediation Efforts and Risk Management
- 5 years of background in audit, risk, compliance, and/or policy management
Job Description
This position will manage the maintenance and implementation of the Control Testing Standards with a focus on associated risk governance and risk training and will perform Issue Coordinator Responsibilities for Enterprise Risk Division. The position will develop and ensure appropriate maintenance of common reporting, content formats and templates for Issue Management related governance documents and Enterprise risk Division related reporting. The position will also interface with risk committees and other lines of business to manage and coordinate the awareness and training for Corporate Testing Standards in line with Comerica's Enterprise Risk Management Framework goals and objectives.
Management of Control Testing Standards
- Ensure standards are well documented, aligned with regulatory expectations and industry standards, and supports the risk assessment and management activities across all risks and controls of the organization.
- Identify opportunities for improved alignment with the ERM Framework supporting all lines of defense and work with those Business Units to achieve compliance.
- Manage and ensure appropriate processes for change Control and continuously enhance the supporting documentation and training.
- Identification and reporting on Enterprise Risk Division Issues.
- Maintenance of Risk Division procedures to define responsibilities of Issue Coordinator.
- Development, Maintenance and Coordination of dashboard reporting for Enterprise Risk Department meetings including quarterly reporting against risk metrics identified.
- Coordination with various Issue owners and ongoing reviews of Issue Documentation, Investigation and Remediation for approval as well as testing and Validation to ensure alignment with Issue Management Policy, ERM Framework and other policies.
- Document and maintain processes and procedures for Enterprise Risk Issue Coordinator responsibilities in alignment with policy and regulatory expectations and industry standards.
- Create ad hoc reporting as necessary to support Issue Coordinator responsibilities, Implementation and Governance for Enterprise Risk Management Division.
- Facilitate Regular Risk Summits with risk participants from all three lines of defense to support Control Testing Standards.
- Additional training and awareness on appropriate topics targeted toward appropriate risk managers on risk topics (e.g., Issue Management. Control Sampling, etc.).
- Provide input, feedback and challenge to various Issue Owners and Risk teams as the organization aims to align these processes.
- Support the processes necessary to complete the Annual Control Testing Programs
- Other Ad hoc reporting and projects as necessary.
