Quickly moving into other industries, we are a fast-paced and agile company looking for a best-in-class (Temporary) Risk & Compliance Specialist, willing to roll up their sleeves and exude a passion for the field. 

MKD Electric is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive compliance analyst to ensure regulatory compliance across the organization.  Exercising their expertise and experience advising organizations on industry requirements and standards and lead the organization towards compliance excellence. The Risk & Compliance Specialist will train employees on industry standards, develop policies, and evaluate compliances. 

What you will do…

•    Research industry compliance regulations and policies
•    Evaluate internal operational and procedural compliances
•    Analyze and update existing compliance policies and related documentations
•    Communicate compliance policies and guidelines to management 
•    Develop and execute new compliance policies and procedures as required
•    Ensue appropriate permits and licenses are obtained with local site jurisdictions ensuring                         applications are filed accurately and address issues that may hinder application approvals
•    Establish and maintain Compliance Vital Records Controls including but not limited to development         of a records retention schedule, compliance policies & procedures, accessibility, indexing, and                 storage of records, compliance auditing, and the disposal of obsolete records
•    Train staff on industry compliance requirements
•    Stay current on compliance requirements and amendments to regulations
•    Design and monitor an internal control systems to mitigate violations of legal and internal                         compliance  policies
•    Assess the efficiency of control systems and recommend effective improvements
•    Review and evaluate company procedures and reports to identify potential risks
•    Partner with department leaders to review all departmental compliance policies
•    Perform periodic audits on company procedures and processes
•    Create and manage effective action plans in response to audit discoveries and compliance violations
•    Regularly audit company procedures, practices, and documents to identify possible weaknesses or         risks

What you will need to succeed…

•    Bachelor's Degree required 
•    5 plus years of within a compliance role preferably within electrical construction, industrial, and/or            maintenance environments 
•    In-depth knowledge of industry compliance requirements and standards 
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent presentation skills
•    Exceptional ability to formulate compliance policies, procedures, and related documentation
•    Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook applications
•    Possess strong organizational and time management skills
