Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting a Risk Analyst to join our Enterprise Risk Management - Private Banking (ERM-PB) Team. In this role the Risk Analyst will be focused on the execution of risk and control best practices in both operational and relationship excellence areas of the Private Banking Business. In addition, the Risk Analyst must have the ability to work on a variety of activities simultaneously and effectively across all levels, functions, and locations within the organization and in close coordination with Relationship Managers and staff, MFO Administration, Investment Operations, OGC, Compliance and Internal Audit.
ERM-PB Risk Analyst responsibilities include:

  • Support Risk Management objectives and goals
  • Perform Risk Management responsibilities in collaboration with broader Enterprise Risk Management team to ensure execution of best practices
  • Work with Relationship Management teams to ensure client accounts adhere to current business and regulatory standards
  • Enhance processes to evaluate client risk in the business by client type and/or business area
  • Perform on going account and transaction monitoring
  • Actively participate in working groups and projects to ensure that the appropriate risk mitigation is applied to business initiatives and operating arrangements
  • Support development and delivery of risk focused training
  • Maintain, enhance and develop risk analytics, and perform risk reporting and ad-hoc analysis
  • Support initiatives to enhance reporting efficiencies, automation, and data visualization

Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in financial services
  • Understanding of Risk Management policies and methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management
  • Strong communication (both verbal and written) and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a risk and control focus and attention to detail.
  • Project manager mindset
  • Ability to adapt to ambiguity, competing demands and rapid change.
  • Knowledge of privacy, fraud, and cyber events and practices
  • Extensive experience with Excel and PowerPoint

This role can be based in our NYC or Boston locations and is a hybrid role, with three days per week in office.

Salary Range
$75k - $85k base salary + annual bonus target
BBH's compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit-sharing. The anticipated base salary range(s) shown above are only for the indicated location(s) and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations. Base salaries may vary based on factors such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.
