What We Are Looking For:
As a Risk Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the Enterprise Risk Management team in assessing, documenting, and reporting risks at an enterprise level within Aspida. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a keen interest in risk analysis, documentation and reporting. Experience in the insurance industry is a plus. This role reports to the Chief Information Security Offer and is required to be onsite at our Durham, NC office 3 days a week.
What You Will Do:
- Help build and enhance the ERM reporting framework, working with the risk team in several locations.
- Risk Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive records of enterprise risk assessments, reviews, and related documentation.
- Risk Reporting: Compile and prepare reports summarizing enterprise risk assessment findings, including trends, potential vulnerabilities, and recommendations.
- Data Management: Input and organize data related to enterprise risk factors and other relevant information. Take advantage of databases to build real time tools.
- ERM Process Support: Assist in the execution of enterprise-wide risk assessment processes, ensuring they align with established ERM frameworks.
- Compliance Checks: Verify that ERM practices adhere to industry regulations and internal guidelines.
- Assist in Data Analysis: Support senior analysts in processing and analyzing data using software and tools.
- Insurance Industry Expertise: Leverage any prior experience in the insurance sector to bring insights into industry-specific risk factors and trends.
- Communication Support: Assist in the preparation of communications to internal stakeholders, providing updates on enterprise risk assessment findings and recommendations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including underwriters, claims professionals, and compliance officers, to facilitate seamless ERM processes.

Requirements:What We Require:
- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Experience with data analytics, statistical tools, and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Risk Management frameworks and principles is a plus.
- Experience in the insurance industry is highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
