Description:

Lockheed Martin is experiencing some substantial growth at our campus in Chelmsford, MA. We are seeking an RF Microwave Solderer to join our team. In this exciting role the RF Microwave Solderer will have the opportunity to work on detailed soldering of components and assemblies per drawings and specifications. The qualified candidate, under limited supervision, may use schematics, blueprints or sketches and verbal and written instructions to assemble, rework or re-assemble units.
  • Duties include installation of connectors, substrates, components and modules in highly complex microwave assemblies, often utilizing using paste and sheet epoxies.
  • Performs fabrication or modification tasks on RF microwave hybrid modules and sub-assemblies of mid-range to high complexity
  • Perform surface mount, fine pitch and through hole soldering
  • Able to work with miniaturized tools such as tweezers, fine screwdrivers and soldering irons
  • Able to work with precision and follow standardized, existing procedures.
  • Able to attach wires to load cell tabs by following schematics or wiring diagrams
  • Meet high criteria for quality and output on a regular basis

Basic Qualifications:


  • Previous electronics/microelectronics assembly experience
  • Ability to work 10 hours under a microscope and utilize hand tools such as torque drivers, tweezers and other similar tools; Good dexterity, eye/hand coordination
  • Ability to read and work from detailed process sheets and drawings; Good computer skills are required to support retrieval of drawings and work instructions as well as other job activities;
  • Ability to work in a diverse team environment; Good interpersonal, teaming and communication skills
  • Candidate must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance and must have at least an Interim Secret Security clearance prior to start therefore the candidate must be a US citizen.

Desired Skills:


  • Familiarity working in an ESD and FOD controlled environment
  • Experience in mechanical assembly processes of small electronic devices
  • Experience working on military products in ISO 9001 / AS9100 controlled environments
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

Security Clearance Statement:

Ability to Work Remotely:

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position:

4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
