About the Role

Capella is currently seeking an RF Electronics Engineer to join our RF Systems. In this role, you will be responsible for the development and characterization of RF/Microwave systems for space. As an integral part of our growing engineering team, you will be collaborating cross-functionally with electrical, software, mechanical, and spacecraft operations teams.

Responsibilities

  • PCB Design - Schematic Capture & Layout
  • Prototype debugging
  • Design verification testing
  • Support RF Systems analysis & modeling
  • Support regulatory and interference analyses
  • Support new product introduction / production test design

Qualifications

  • BSEE/Physics + 5 years related experience, or MSEE/Physics + 3 years related experience
  • Experience in multilayer PCB design
  • Knowledge of various RF system architectures and components
  • Experience with various RF Test & Measurement equipment
  • Strong verbal & visual communication skills
  • To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Capella Employees must be a U.S. citizen, lawful U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State and/or the U.S. Department of Commerce, as applicable. Preferred Skills

  • Altium Designer
  • Python for signal processing / plotting / test automation
  • RF simulation software such as MWO, VSS, ADS, SystemVue
  • Linux command line

Travel 

This role could require up to 30% travel to our Colorado office 

Compensation

The annual salary range for this role as it is posted is $127,000 - $168,340 .  The final job level and annual salary will be determined based on the education, qualification, knowledge, skills, ability, and experience of the final candidate(s), specific office location and calibrated against relevant market data and internal team equity.  Benefits listed in this posting may vary depending on the nature of your employment with Capella Space.
