SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Director, RCM, the RCM Quality Assurance Analyst performs quality assurance reviews of key functions within the Revenue Cycle, including verification, authorization, billing, collections, and cash posting. This position will conduct claims and process audits to monitor adherence to standard operating procedures (SOP) and work instructions, provide ongoing feedback to Revenue Cycle management to reduce errors and improve processes and performance, and assist management to create training material, standard operating procedures, and workflow instructions.
IN THIS ROLE, THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:
Conduct routine reviews of patient accounts worked by Revenue Cycle staff using QA audit tools for all key functions within the Revenue Cycle, including verification, authorization, billing, collections, and cash posting, to ensure adherence to SOPs and work instructions.
Compile performance results data for Revenue Cycle staff subject to QA review process and prepare management reports for Revenue Cycle managers and supervisors that include summary results and recommendations for improvement to be used for manager/staff performance feedback and evaluations.
Respond to audit inquiries and disputed findings.
Assist and support Revenue Cycle management with the development of SOPs, ongoing SOP improvements, work instructions, related training materials, and opportunities for process improvements.
Securely maintain all related documents and electronic files.
Identify, recommend, document, and track resolution of SOP quality gaps and best practices to support Revenue Cycle management.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of all Revenue Cycle SOPs, work instructions, systems, and workflows.
Must be self-motivated, able to work independently, and maintain professionalism and objectiveness throughout the quality auditing process.
Coordinate and consult with internal departments to perform said duties and responsibilities as assigned.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree preferred, plus 3-5 years of progressive Revenue Cycle knowledge and
