Medical Data Systems Inc. is looking for a Revenue Collections Representative to join our team in our Melbourne office. You will employ your strong communication skills, empathy, and persuasive abilities to ensure timely payment and resolution of medical debts. This role requires attention to detail, a comprehensive understanding of medical billing practices, and the ability to navigate complex insurance claims and billing systems.

Responsibilities:
Debt Collection: Contact patients, insurance companies, or responsible parties to collect outstanding medical debts through various communication channels (phone calls, emails, letters, etc.) while adhering to legal and ethical guidelines.
Negotiation: Engage in effective negotiation and dispute resolution techniques to address payment discrepancies, insurance claim denials, and patient concerns, aiming to reach mutually agreeable solutions.
Account Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of debt collection activities, payment plans, and communication with patients and insurance companies using appropriate systems or software.
Compliance: Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including but not limited to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
