Revenue Analyst (Hybrid)

Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility provider committed to public service and environmental preservation, is looking for a Revenue Analyst to work out of their *Vancouver, WA* or *Portland, OR* location. This position collaborates with others as needed, analyzes data from a variety of sources, and validates billing information is compliant with the contract, laws, regulations, and policies to produce customer bills that are accurate and timely. This position will work with individuals from various Front, Middle, and Back Office groups. The perfect candidate will be organized, with a strong attention to details, and able to negotiate shifting priorities amid tight deadlines.

*Pay Range*: $37.00 - $42.00/hr. DOE.

*Key Responsibilities of a Revenue Analyst:*
* Provide accurate, understandable, and timely billing services to customers.
* Analyze metering, contract, scheduling, and various other documentation used to bill for various products and services per billing schedules in a timely and accurate manner.
* Explain and communicate with personnel and external customers on billing, metering, or contractual processes and issues.
* Respond and resolve customer inquiries via emails, phone conversations, or customer meetings; escalate more complex inquiries to the workplace manager as needed.
* Provide back-up billing support to other analysts as requested by the manager, as needed to verify that bills are produced timely and accurately in the absence of the assigned analyst.
* Analyze customer demand and energy data using the Metering system reports and Billing system outputs to verify values are in accordance with the applicable customer's contract.
* Coordinate with the Metering Services and Power and Transmission scheduling functions to obtain data needed to produce customer bills.
* Assist in quality control assessments by reviewing customer bills for accuracy, completeness, and contract applications.
* Perform system testing related to billing system enhancements and/or upgrades.
* Serve as a member on one or more customer account teams, representing the Billing organization, and provides analytical support and guidance on customer billing issues to the internal customer account team members.
* Provide recommendations and mock reports regarding new billing factors and other billing systems, analytical, or reporting requirements that may impact other organizations.
*Requirements/Qualification for Revenue Analyst:*
* Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or Computer Programming is preferred.
* 5 years of analysis experience in a financial analytical capacity is required.
* Complex accounting and finance concepts and knowledge of procedural controls and data validation techniques.
* Intermediate or advanced Excel skills, and SharePoint.
