We are seeking to hire a part-time cleaner for Stonewater’s Retreat ministry. This position is responsible for the overall cleaning of Stonewater. Stonewater is nestled in the heart of the cascades on 158 acres just 30 minutes from the beautiful town of Leavenworth. It is an ideal playground during all four seasons. This position is to help prepare a place for people to experience God. Help to develop and supervise all aspects of Stonewater’s Retreat ministry through preparations, cleaning, and addressing any issues that would take away from an astounding guest experience.
Key Responsibilities and Expectations
- Leadership: Develop, and ensure the fulfillment of the Internal Commitments.
- Initiative: Identify potential issues, problems and concerns, and aggressively anticipate solutions.
- Spiritual Leadership: Will teach in accordance with God's word throughout training.
- Delegation: Create an environment of empowerment by appropriately releasing authority to others.
- Professionalism: Train and maintain order to the highest level of professional cleaning standards.
- Logistics: Manage and maintain our building facilities and equipment in a professional manner.
- Utilizes cleaning checklists, restocking lists, and outside walkthroughs as directed.
- Communicates personal schedule and conflicts, to cover necessary responsibilities.
- Manage inventory of all cleaning supplies, keeping them well stocked and working well.
- Maintain the quality of cleaning tools such as vacuum, mops, and other tools as needed.
- Maintain or communicate repairs of appliances, including fridges, freezers, dishwashers, and other maintenance needs throughout the whole year.
- Deep clean and sterilize all forms of kitchen facilities and equipment on a routine schedule.
Reports to: Operations Manager and/or Stonewater Director
Supervises: Summer staff, volunteers & service groups that may help to maintain or deep clean facilities.
Works Collaboratively with: Local Stonewater team, volunteers and greater Youth Dynamics teams.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience is preferred but not required.
- Clear, concise, and compelling communication skills, written and oral.
- Attention to detail and proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to effectively work independently and in a team setting.
- Active and growing relationship with Christ and willing to sign Youth Dynamics Statement of Faith.
- Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously with people from varied cultural, socioeconomic, educational, and experiential backgrounds.
Salary and Benefits:
- Pay* $18 per hour and the opportunity to grow and increase salary through support ministry
- If hours are 20 per week or more, then PTO and other benefits would apply.
