Harveys is a boutique handbag brand established in 1997 by husband and wife team, Dana and Melanie Harvey. We've been designing and manufacturing locally in Santa Ana ever since.

This position is primarily responsible for the overall sales, profitability, customer service, visual strategies, operations, and inventory management for the Retail Store, in coordination with the Company’s goals and objectives. The Retail Store Lead provides inspiration to drive sales and exceed customer service expectations. Also assisting customers by placing orders, providing product and service information and resolving product and service problems in person, over the phone, and via email. Oversees workflow and supports the web sales department and manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

• Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing Company standards.
• Provides merchandising leadership for implementation and proper placement of core and seasonal products. Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
• Maintains accurate inventory and ensures monthly inventory counts are conducted effectively and on time.
• Ensures interior and exterior store environment is maintained to Company standards, including merchandising standards, store cleanliness inside and the outdoor common area
• Creative and confident in all aspects of the job. Willing and eager to contribute and implement creative window displays.
• Merchandise products, keeping with the design esthetic and seeking direction from Marketing as needed.
• Facilitate the relationship between the management and creative team in order to achieve store goals.
• In tune with the target market lifestyle and constantly providing ideas and solutions to improve the Retail Store's events, workshops and products.
• Organized (inventory control, accurate POS transactions)
• Creates schedules and ensures coverage of the store during peak hours and employee absences.
• Handles, warranty, cleaning and repair services. Determines which services are needed based on company warranty policy. Works with the production manager to determine the appropriate course of action for repairs.
• Effectively manages successful releases and events from build up to tear down.
• Responsible for the breakdown of the weekly sales goals.
• Interacts with customers by telephone or via email to resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint, determining the cause of the problem, selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem, expediting correction or adjustment and following up to ensure resolution.
• Perform as liaison to Sales Director

OTHER JOB DUTIES:

• Conducts store walk-through to ensure the store is meeting expectations for all objectives as well as all safety guidelines.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Willingly accepts additional responsibility for self-development.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Some college education is preferred.
• Experience in computer based retail setting is preferred.

• Good merchandising skills and a flair for conceiving and implementing creative merchandising themes.
• Ability to cite significant achievements, demonstrated ability to handle all aspects of retail operational and merchandising management issues, from the delivery of stock to the store to the final sale of the product to the customer.
• Customer focused, results driven and strategic planner.
• An upbeat demeanor, with a sales-oriented personality.

INTERPERSONAL AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

Position requires constant communication within the department, as well as interface with multiple departments throughout the organization. Strong interpersonal skills and communications with customers are required on a routine basis. Must be able to productively interact with coworkers.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Sits, stands and walks throughout the day; uses hands and fingers to operate computers and store merchandise for up to 8 hours each day; requires clear vision at 20 inches or less with or without corrective lenses; hearing and speech within normal ranges and sufficient for clear communication face to face and on the telephone; lifts up to 50 pounds regularly; exposed to typical Retail Store environment conditions and noise levels.

Uses critical thinking skills to create original documents, reports and spreadsheets and interpret information furnished in written, oral or schedule form; able to make set goals based on available information and to plan work in order to meet deadlines; able to be resourceful at problem solving and formulates appropriate responses to requests for services and information from internal or external customers; able to project likely future occurrences based on current or historic data.
