What You’ll Do
Retail Associates are responsible for providing assistance to retail customers in the pond supply store, greeting visitors, answering phones / emails, and ringing sales transactions. In addition, this role will help care / feed our in-store fish, turtles and lizard!
Retail / Clerical / Hospitality Duties:
- Greet all visitors and customers
- Answer product questions
- Monitor, redirect and answer phone calls, emails
- Monitor retail store orders from Facebook, Instagram, phone-in orders, etc.
- Support inventory management in retail store, and order product, as needed
- Operate cash register / ringing transactions through POS system
- Maintain cleanliness of retail shop area
- Coordinate decorating are for seasons / holidays
- Sort, deliver and meter mail, as requested
- Comply with Company safety policies, procedures and practices
- Perform other duties as assigned, including participation in Company events
What We’re Looking For
- At least 16 years or older
- Ability to work flexible schedule, including Saturdays
- Good communication skills
- Punctual and reliable
- Basic computer skills—Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, squat and stand as necessary
- Prior Retail Sales and POS register experience a plus!
- A love for people, nature, gardening, water, animals, and to be a part of an amazing team!
FLEXIBLE SHIFTS AVAILABLE!
Our Retail Store is open Monday - Saturdays, 9am - 5pm. This seasonal role will typically last March - September/October. Hours are flexible (3-8 hours daily) between 10-25 hours per week. We can work with your schedule!
