Retail Sales Associate For Liquor Store

Responsibilities:

• Practice responsible alcohol service in accordance to local and state laws, including identification verification and intoxication prevention.

• Ability to sell proactively

• Good communication skills

• Surprise and delight the customers with consistent, delightful service

• Assist in all aspects of store operations, with particular focus on cleanliness, fullness of product displays, signage quality, safety and customer service

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by being knowledgeable on all products offered, and teaming up with co-workers to provide excellent sales service

• Maintains an awareness of all product knowledge, and current or upcoming product / trends

• Contribute to a positive, enthusiastic and inclusive work environment

• Set and achieve the highest standards in retail execution. Communicate regularly with Store Team Leaders regarding proper operations of the store

• Operate POS, make change and accurately conduct credit card transactions and account for all monies at the end of each shift

• Respond promptly to customer needs and questions and requests assistance when necessary, including answering the store phone system

• Ensure all financial transactions are correct and maintain accuracy and coin for making change.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 21 years of age or older

• Ability to perform physical requirements of position - stand/walk for 100% of shift, reach, bend, stoop frequently and lift as much as 50 lbs, repetitively

• Confident and comfortable engaging customers to deliver an elevated experience

• Prior experience in a team environment requiring professional and effective communication skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with other Team Members and leadership

• Ability to use technology applicable to the position and access information necessary to complete daily responsibilities

• Desire to continually develop Retail Sales skills and knowledge of product and services

• Ability to follow directions and established procedures and Initiate completion of tasks or activities without necessary supervision

• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays

• Demonstrate creativity in promoting sales, merchandising and/or marketing

• Food and/or retail experience desirable

• The ideal candidates will have previous retail experience as well as liquor, spirits and wine knowledge.
• You must be available to work Monday to Saturday and have a flexible schedule.
• You must be able to stand long periods of time.
• A flexible schedule is required and you must be able to work Monday to Saturday; mornings, days, evenings and holidays.
• Working Saturday is a must.
• Full Time positions work 5 days a week in most cases.
• TABC Seller/Server Certification required.

Pay: $10.00 - $11.00 per hour
