Retail Sales Associate

We are seeking motivated candidates to join our team at Portside Liquors, Pocasset (Bourne) If you are a wine enthusiast or a beer aficionado, we want you on our team. Do you enjoy talking about food and wine pairings? Do you love to share that knowledge? As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assisting customers with their purchasing needs. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced fine wine establishment.

The Sales Associates must also remain familiar with our product selection to help our customers, restock and merchandise products on shelves, stock and put away day-to-day deliveries, and generally maintain the cleanliness of the store.

Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide them with product information and assistance
- Assist customers in finding the right products to meet their needs
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately
- Handle cash and credit card transactions, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including restocking shelves and arranging merchandise displays
- Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
Experience:
- Previous experience in Retail Sales or customer service is required, and in the liquor industry, is preferred. The salary offered will be determined based on the candidate's level of experience.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

We are looking to fill both full time and part time year round positions.

If you retired or looking to work few nights a week, the part time opening could be a good opportunity.

Requirements:

-Must be at least 21 years old

-Must have a valid driver's license

-Must be able to lift heavy boxes

-Must be a team player
