If you have experience handling and processing used goods and working in warehousing, join the MERS Goodwill team as a Processor. As an employee that is responsible for donated goods being handled and processed with accuracy you are tasked with the great responsibility of maintaining a high standard of efficiency and productivity.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Handles all donations with care and respect.
- Sorts donated goods and purchased goods into categories: sales floor, seasonal, online sales, salvage, and trash, according to established guidelines.
- Inspects donated goods and purchased goods to distinguish quality while checking for holes, tears, stains, breakage, odor, etc.
- Maintains high quality and high quantity standards while working at a quick and steady pace.
- Efficiently and safely transports items, carts, racks, and bins to and from sales floor.
- Stocks straighten, rotate, and maintain cleanliness of the store, to include sales floor, warehouse, and donation dock, in an efficient manner to adhere to Goodwill Retail Procedures.
- Provides positive customer service interactions, to include greetings, assistance, and thanks, to in person customers and donors as well as those over the phone.
- Establishes and maintains positive and professional relationships with team members and leadership.
- Safeguards company property and personal information from harm, damage, or theft. Reports any incidents of theft, misappropriation, unethical/inappropriate behavior, or unauthorized possession of company property to a member of management, Human Resources, Loss Prevention, or employee hotline.
- Must adhere to all MERS/Goodwill policies and Goodwill Retail procedures as well as safety and security regulations.
- All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
No educational requirements. Ability to speak English effectively to respond to questions from customers, donors, team members, and leadership. Basic math skills preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 40 pounds and push and pull loads of 50 pounds.
- Full range of motion, bending-lifting-twisting-pulling-and pushing.
- Ability to stand for periods of time up to 4 hours.
- Frequently working in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
