Warehouse Processor/Forklift Operator

In the Processor/Forklift Operator position, you are responsible for moving packages and material around our warehouse. You will be operating a forklift at certain times with the utmost care. Employees present themselves in a positive and professional manner, maintaining a safe, secure, and efficient warehouse environment. This shift is from 7:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday.
Please note that not all duties are not subject to forklift work.
Duties and Essential Job Functions

• Load and unload merchandise and materials from in-coming vehicles and stack them to assigned places with and without a forklift.
• Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
• Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
• Transport raw materials to production workstations.
• Assess, evaluate, and interpret machinery to determine the need for repairs, while securing safety by performing regular maintenance checks.
• Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs.
• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.
• Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Former forklift certification and use of pallet jack required.
• Prior experience in using merchandise handling equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, two-wheel dollies, and box cutters.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Effective communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Detail-oriented and possessing basic time-management skills.

Working Conditions:

• Prolonged standing and/or sitting for duration of shift
• Working forklift for a majority of shift
• Varying indoor and outdoor conditions
• Fast-paced environment; moderate noise level
• Potential use of merchandise equipment such as box cutters, bin containers, two-wheel dollies, and pallet jacks
• Use of ladders
• Occasionally exposed to outside weather elements and conditions
• The ability to lift up to 40 lbs. of material weight, unassisted
• Repetitive stooping, lifting, twisting
