Job Summary:
The Retail Investment Services Officer I will provide comprehensive investment advice and financial planning to an existing $15 million book of business at BTC Financial Services. This position will partner with branch employees of Bankers Trust to bring in new customers. Full compliance with the rules and regulations of our broker/dealer, Securities America, is required at all times. Administrative support will be provided as needed.
Primary Functions and/or Responsibilities:
• Develops relationships with branch employees in order to encourage referrals
• Meets with customers to determine if they have investment or insurance needs
• Meets with existing customers to ensure their investments and insurance are meeting their needs
• Reports on client meetings
• Reports on fee income generated
• Other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience:
• 2 - 4 years experience
• Four-year college degree in a related field preferred OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum 2 years of investment brokerage experience preferred
• Active Series 6 & 63 and active Iowa Producer Insurance License required
Specific Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
• High level of communication and relationship building skills
• Proficiency in mutual funds, annuities, ETFs, insurance, bonds, IRAs, and asset allocation
