Retail Associate/Customer Service

Shipping Point in Gurnee is a full-service shipping and printing store offering shipping and printing services to the public as well as local businesses. We have an immediate opening for an energetic customer focused Retail Customer Service Associate and Store Maintenance Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a positive upbeat attitude and be personable and friendly to support our customers in a retail location. Hours- 9:00 am – 6:00 pm. Alternating 4/5 day work weeks including alternating Saturdays 9:00am-4:00pm

General Duties and Responsibilities

Assist walk in customers with shipping and printing orders

• Provides customers expertise in multiple shipping product lines, printing, mailing and packaging services.
• Operating point of sale, copy machines, printers, fax machine and misc print equipment.
• Assembles parcels, prepares for shipping with multiple different carriers
• Minimum 25 wpm typed and technically proficient with computer systems
• Must be able to perform multiple tasks at the same time
• Maintains a safe, clean and orderly retail Store

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

• 6+ months of Retail Customer Service experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated retail customer service skills
• High school diploma or equivalent education
• Valid Drivers License and reliable vehicle

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Must be able to stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods
• Ability to move and lift 55 pounds
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must maintain a positive attitude
• Punctuality and reliability are a must
• Must be able to work under minimal supervision

Must be consistent in attendance to maintain established business hours

Requirements:
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize responsibilities effectively
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred
- Ability to learn technical sales information related to products and services
- Friendly and approachable demeanor with strong communication skills
