Do you have a warehouse background and are eager to develop your career into sales? Join our retail team and help move furniture from excess inventory to revenue.
Starting pay is $18 - $19 / hour, depending on experience.
Work schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, 9AM-6PM.
(Days worked can be flexible, minimum of 40 hours/5 days a week)
Responsibilities:
- Assist with truck transfers by unloading and placing product on floor.
- Daily movement of sold product to the back room.
- Organize back room to be efficient for customer pick-ups and deliveries.
- Maintain store appearance, clean and vacuum daily; merchandizing and pricing.
- Adhere to CORT Retail Best Demonstrated Practices (including safety and product protection).
- Touch up and repair merchandize to its best condition.
- Assist our outside delivery service with loading their trucks for deliveries.
- Assist selling previously rented furniture and household accessories.
- Develop customer relationships with outstanding customer service.
Qualifications:
- Greet customers, when appropriate.
- Ability to regularly and safely lift at least 80 lbs or more frequently.
- Ability to speak and read English, speaking Spanish is a plus.
- Assist customers with furniture loading.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with all CORT departments.
- Prior sales experience a plus.
- Participate in monthly retail sales meeting.
- Proof of identification and employment eligibility.
- Furniture moving experience is ideal.
