Retail Associate

Grayson Ace Hardware is a new member of the Ace Hardware retail cooperative located in Grayson GA. We are hiring PT & FT.

General Duties:

• Greet and interact with customers

• Consult with customers to understand their needs and preferences related to our merchandise

• Demonstrate and explain products, selecting and suggesting options suitable for the customer’s needs

• Answer customer's questions about product uses and functionality

• Assist customers with purchase decisions

• Retrieve merchandise from sales floor, stock room, or other inventory locations; place special orders

• Receive, sort, and stock inventory

• Assemble merchandise e.g. lawnmowers, grills, lawn furniture

• Collect payment using the store point of sale system

• Processes returns and exchanges

• Perform other duties as assigned

• On-the-spot verbal communication

• Excellent active listening

• Excellent sales and customer service

• Ability to anticipate customer's needs

• Ability to recommend merchandise to customers

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the retail space

• Ability to handle inventory close to the floor and overhead
