The Retail Assistant reports to the Taproom Manager and will be responsible for ensuring that retail operations flow efficiently and smoothly for both the team and guests. This person will provide ultimate support for the Retail Team to help carry out our overall mission to make the best beverages in the world and to serve them in the most friendly and memorable environment possible. As a Part-Time Retail Assistant, you will be responsible for the following:
- Providing a clean, welcoming, educated experience for all guests
- Assisting retail team members in restocking coolers and merchandise
- Keeping track of can case inventory in coolers and outside on retail can sale floor
- Collecting all used glassware both inside and outside the facility
- Assisting with early morning truck deliveries and cooler organization upon receipt of inventory
- Running the dishwashers behind the bar
- Helping to maintain a clean bar area for all guests
- Assisting in trash clean up both inside and outside facility, and dispose of properly
- Assisting in re-stocking merchandise shelves as requested
- Assisting in parking help as requested
- Additional ad hoc tasks as requested by your supervisor
This role requires you to stand, repeatedly lift and carry up to 50lbs, and go in and out of the refrigerated cold box for the entirety of your shifts.
Role Requirements:
- 6+ months of professional experience
- Must be 18+ years of age or older at time of application
- You are driven, self-motivated and able to work autonomously, with a focused and hard working attitude
- An innate helpful nature and a desire to be a strong, reliable team player with a willingness to go the extra mile
- A quick learner who is able to work with minimal or no supervision
- Ability to multitask and work coolly and professionally in time sensitive situations
- Must be able to tactfully communicate with guests as needed
- Must be punctual and responsible with one’s time
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and/or pivot plans quickly in order to coordinate corrective actions needed
- Meticulous attention to detail when it comes to keeping the grounds clean
- You are not afraid to speak your mind
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to push, pull, bend, and lift in excess of 50 lbs. as necessary to perform required tasks as assigned throughout the workday.
