MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries is looking for an energetic, self-motivated, and professional Retail Assistant Manager to join our Carbondale Store team! Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent.
- One year retail sales experience.
- Ability to read English at a sixth-grade level or higher.
- POS and computer experience using Microsoft Suite applications is preferred.
- Must have a valid state driver's license, and insurance. Personal vehicle and willing to use for company bank run and off-site meetings.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities
- Safeguards agency assets from damage, loss, or theft, while utilizing safe work practices through awareness and observation.
- Works cross-functionally with other E-Commerce teams to increase communication.
- Ensures employees complete all required training within the designated period.
- Contributes to ensuring the workplace is hazard-free by removing obstructions, keeping aisles and designated walkways debris free.
- Immediately communicate workplace incidents or accidents to an on-duty member of management.
- Reads and follows all operational procedures and agency employee handbook policies.
- Must cooperate with all LP and/or HR Investigations.
- Performs opening and closing procedure, monitors and orders supplies for the store as needed.
- Must read, follow, and model all agency policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift forty pounds.
- Full range of motion, bending-lifting-twisting-pulling-and pushing.
- Sit for extended periods of time up to 4 hours.
- Requires the use of warehouse equipment such as hand trucks and dollies to move product.
