Restoration Project Manager
Location: Field Office Department: Emergency Services
Status: Exempt Position Type – Full Time
Reports to: Reginal Manager
General Description: The purpose of the Emergency Service Project Manages is to oversee the daily activities of emergency services department within the branch. This individual will play an essential role in the daily monitoring, documenting and billing of all emergency services on residential and commercial losses. The main function of this position will be providing quality control, execution and documentation of all mitigation and remediation jobs from beginning to completion. This individual will report directly to the Branch Manager
Essential Job Duties
- Effectively supervise and motivate a team of mitigation technicians
- Respond to emergency services (tarp, board-up, biohazard, trauma, fire and water mitigation) during and after normal business hours
- Provide quality control on all emergency service and mitigation jobs by instituting best practices and following IICRC S500 & S520 guidelines
- Provide instruction and technical expertise to water technicians
- Create, manage and enforce the on-call schedule for all mitigation technicians.
- Contact new emergencies and assignments to gather pertinent data from customers.
- Schedule new losses and monitoring assignments for all mitigation technicians
- Track daily progress of jobs and mitigation data
- Review all paperwork, drying logs, mold reports and sketches for accuracy
- Communicate with estimators and insurance adjusters
- Create estimates in Xactimate, Symbility and Time and Material Software (T&M)
- Organize job files and store data on the appropriate drives
- Manage equipment and material inventories
- Required to travel for CAT and large loss situations.
- Any other duties or special projects as assigned by management
Skills
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- General understanding of the insurance claim process
- Ability to multitask and deliver results under pressure
- Create and implement drying plans
- Calculate GPP and properly document drying conditions
- Ability to operate thermal imaging equipment and hygrometers
- Ability to follow IEP mold remediation protocols, create estimate and engineered controls for abatement
- Strong computer skills, including ability to use tablets, Excel and job management software
- Ability to compile reports, document projects and employee performance
Qualifications
- High School diploma
- 4+ years’ experience in the water, fire & mold restoration industry
- IICRC certifications WRT & AMRT (required), FSRT, ASD and TCST (preferred)
- Experience managing assignments for Third Party Administrators (TPAs) examples: Alacrity, Nexxus and Contractor Connection.
- Extensive experience using Xactimate, Symbility and Time and Material Software (T&M)
- Experience with managing large losses and commercial jobs
- Extensive field, construction and customer service experience
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and PPE guidelines
