NOLA Wood Windows preserves the soul and historic fabric of New Orleans by restoring and building historic windows and doors and educating homeowners using sustainable practices and historic traditions minimizing environmental impact.

We're looking to expand our restoration team. This team is responsible for taking doors and window sashes to transform them back to almost new. The process involves removing current paint, glazing and glass to then repair, prime, glaze and paint. This position is based in the shop with minimal to no work at a clients home.

Our shop operates Monday - Thursday between 7am - 5:30pm. We are looking for up to 20 hours per week with an opportunity to become full time in future. Starting pay is $15 to $18/hr based on experience.

The right person is comfortable:

• Safety is your top priority
• Enjoys working with your hands all day
• Comfortable wearing a respirator for 5+ hours a day
• Working in an unconditioned shop isn't a concern
• Able to stand for 8+ hours
• Quick to learn new processes and following a process manual
• Working around lead paint including regular, require lead level blood testing
• Positive attitude

• Desire to learn and quickly pick-up new things
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality craftsmanship
• Great communicator who connects with people, even challenging ones
