Responsibilities
This key member of the Restaurant Systems Team is responsible for keeping our core Restaurant Systems up to date, the testing and deployment of new functionality in those systems, providing advanced escalation for complex system problems, and the initiation through deployment of new technology to the restaurants, utilizing proven project management methodology.
• Be the in-house expert on architecture, features, functions, and integrations for BJ’s Restaurants POS (POSitouch), Kitchen Display (QSR Automation), Table Management (QSR Automation) systems, as well as additional complementary systems
• Manage the assessment of, implementation of and support of major system upgrades
• Guide new technology projects from inception to implementation
• Field requests for new functionality in current Restaurant Systems/solutions
• Work closely with other restaurant support center team members such as Operations, Marketing, and Finance to configure systems and solutions which meet their requirements and exceed their expectations
• Provide direction and technical expertise in project definition, ideation, planning, testing and ultimately implementation
• Assist other teams within I.T. with the design and deployment of new applications, systems or processes
• Field Restaurant Systems “tier three” technical support calls from initiation to resolution, during business hours and on a rotation outside of business hours
• Assist other teams within I.T. with diagnosis, review and resolution of Restaurant Systems issues
• Partner closely with systems vendors and service providers to master products, design solutions, and troubleshoot advanced issues
• Assist in evaluating new hardware and software solutions
• Create documentation and perform training on all newly implemented systems/solutions
Qualifications
• Experience maintaining and supporting Restaurant or Retail POS Software preferred
• Learn and adapt to new applications/systems quickly
• Strong problem solving skills, ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it
• Available to work after hours and weekends as needed
• Availability for occasional local and domestic travel
• Effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, simplifying complex technical information for non-technical users
• Knowledge of Windows, networking, database, and system integration concepts
• Ability to balance the demands of new requests, maintenance and support, and customer expectations
• Ability to handle constantly changing workload; be able to multi-task effectively, exercise patience and professionalism during stressful situations
• Ability to draft routine correspondence and manage information and data in a confidential and professional manner
Pay Range
USD $66,000.00 - USD $80,000.00 /Yr.
