Restaurant Shift Manager

Join the Firehouse Pizza & Pub Team! Immediate opening for a Restaurant Shift Manager at the East Peoria store. Advancement opportunity possible to Restaurant Manager/GM. Advancement depends on your skills, ability, and motivation to succeed. MUST have at least 2 years restaurant MANAGEMENT experience, or 5+ years retail management experience. Starting pay depends on experience.

Restaurant Shift Manager Tasks & Responsibilities:

1. Interact with Guests throughout the shift, ensuring that guests are served in a courteous and timely manner.

2. Organize, direct, and supervise employees in daily tasks to ensure high food quality, order accuracy, and customer service according to Firehouse Pizza specifications.

3. Cross-train in all store positions to be able to effectively assist employees when needed.

4. Follow correct processes and procedures for cash handling, processing checkouts, and safe drops.

5. Be able to take orders quickly and accurately and input them into the Point-of-Sale system.

6. Ensure the restaurant is clean, safe & sanitary to health code requirements and Firehouse Pizza & Pub’s standards.

7. Conduct thorough and accurate inspections, correcting issues as they arise.

8. Assist Store Manager with daily tasks, including counts and placing orders.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) is preferred
• Must have reliable transportation to work. Having a valid driver’s license and vehicle is a plus
• Ability to work evenings & weekends is required
• Ability to communicate and interact effectively with team members and guests
• Basic knowledge of food safety & sanitation rules
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
• Physical ability to lift boxes of food or supplies up to 20lbs, and perform all functions of the position (e.g. sweeping, mopping, bending).
• Physical ability (including eyesight and finger/hand dexterity) to operate kitchen machinery, operate a computer POS, use knives, etc
• Solid track record of success in previous assignments demonstrating upward career tracking

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
