Overview
The Restaurant Shift Leader role is focused on delivering sales and positive results through Guest & Operations coordination.?This Hourly position supports the Restaurant General Manager and Assistant Manager in managing the operations during assigned shifts while driving key performance outcomes.
Summary of Responsibilities
- Directs efficient and accurate preparation and sale of products for prompt delivery within established speed of service guidelines.
- Ensures that restaurant upholds operational and brand standards.
- Motivates and directs Team Members to exceed guest expectations with accurate, fast, and friendly service in clean surroundings.
- Provides coaching and feedback to Team Members to increase the restaurant team's capabilities.
- Supervises crew members in the preparation of menu items to ensure compliance with all Burger King Corporate (BKC) Operations and Sanitation standards.
- Ensures that staff maintain an exceptional level of customer service and that orders are taken in a prompt, accurate, and courteous manner.
- Resolve customer complaints as required.
- Ensure an adequate level of staffing and service in the restaurant, which is critical to maintaining a productive level of operation.
- Supervises hourly staff in the cleaning of equipment and restaurant facilities to ensure maintenance of sanitation standards.
- Manages cash control per policy and counts cash on hand, at shift changes and at closing, to determine shortages or overages and prepares bank deposits.
- Trains, evaluates, and completes hourly work schedule for restaurant staff.
Qualifications
- Two to three years of first line supervisory or management experience or equivalent, preferably from a restaurant or customer service environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of guest service principles.
- ServSafe, local and state certifications or the ability to obtain required.
