Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat customers in a friendly and timely manner
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently using a POS system
- Provide menu recommendations and upsell specials or additional items
- Ensure food safety protocols are followed in handling and serving food
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including bussing tables as needed
- Process customer payments using a cash register or other payment methods
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints with professionalism and resolve issues promptly
- Work as part of a team to provide exceptional service to all guests
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the food industry is preferred but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for positive guest relations
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for accurate order taking and payment processing
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
