GioBatta Alimentari is an authentic Italian market + restaurant. Alimentari, a word meaning “to nourish,” is our inspiration. After a 13-year success with Mercato Osteria Enoteca in Red Hook and two James Beard nominations, Chef Francesco Buitoni opened GioBatta in 2020.

Our heritage stems from the Buitoni family pasta enterprise, whose spectacular growth and reach nurtured a nation with its food and confections. Five generations later, GioBatta carries on the tradition of nurturing an ever-expanding community with handmade pasta and provisions sourced from Hudson Valley farms and artisanal Italian producers.

Duties:

- Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth and efficient service
- Manage and supervise staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
- Maintain high standards of customer service and resolve any customer complaints or issues
- Monitor inventory levels and implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and maximize profitability
- Develop and implement strategies to increase restaurant sales and profitability
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create and update menu offerings
- Coordinate catering events and ensure successful execution
- Utilize POS system (Aloha POS) to process orders, manage reservations, and track sales
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in hospitality or food service management
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of inventory control practices and procedures
- Familiarity with Toast POS system is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
