The Restaurant Hostess position is one of the most important roles at the Club. You are the first person that our members will see upon entering the restaurant. The person that will succeed in this role is somebody who is outgoing, personable, and easily approachable. You should be a “people person” with the desire to deliver outstanding service and hospitality with a smile on your face.
Below are some of the qualifications and criteria that you will need to fill the role.
· Ability to perform graciously and cheerfully in a fast-paced, busy environment.
· Always maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
· Must be organized and able to complete responsibilities.
· Be an independent employee who can complete tasks without being directly supervised.
· Team player. Ability to work well with others and assist on the restaurant floor when necessary.
· Having a great memory. Memorizing our members and their families, as well as their member account numbers is an important part of the job.
· Required to have basic food and beverage knowledge.
· Previous experience as a hostess in a restaurant, hotel or country club is preferred, but not mandatory.
· Ability to make “small talk”.
DIRECT RESPONSIBILITIES
· Show up to work on time and attend pre-shift meeting.
· Must complete opening responsibilities at the host stand. Proper menus that are clean and correct. Communicating with front desk about updates to reservations.
· Greet members and their guests with positivity as they enter the restaurant.
· Seating the members at their table but also going the extra mile. For example, holding the chairs when somebody takes their seat.
· Removing place-settings swiftly and neatly from the table if they are not needed.
· Marking the reservation and crossing off the table on the floor plan once the members and their guests have sat down.
· Controlling the floor plan. Knowing where to place “walk-in” groups. Documenting “walk-ins” and any complaints made.
· Handing out the meal period menu to the members and their guests.
· Assisting the service staff resetting tables for the next seating.
· Should be willing to take a drink order or food order to assist the servers. May also be tasked to place a to-go food order.
· At the end of the meal period (Dinner), must put the menus away and take out the menus for the next meal period (Lunch).
· Collect all receipts and closing shift reports from service staff.
· Review each receipt and make sure the proper member account is being charged. Making sure all details of each receipt are correct.

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
