Form of workWe're looking to hire an energetic and outgoing host/hostess with outstanding customer service skills. You'll need excellent communication skills to answer phone inquiries and make reservations. Your main duties include welcoming guests and guiding them to a table that has been cleared and cleaned. You'll ensure that there are enough seats for the entire party and check that each guest has tableware. Your attire should be professional and neat, with comfortable shoes so you can stand on your feet frequently throughout your shift. PM shift
- Know the menu items and how dishes are prepared and be able to answer any questions about daily specials
- Clean up and clear plates after guests leave, and get the table ready for the next customers
- Make sure dining room tables and chairs are neatly organized at all times and that condiments on the table are restocked if low
- Welcome all diners with a friendly attitude to create an excellent first impression
- Guide diners to their seats and make sure everyone has the correct number of menus, utensils, napkins, and filled water glasses
- Must have excellent communication, customer service, and organization skills, as well as the ability to deal with customer requests in a courteous, efficient, and timely manner
- Prior food services, or hospitality service industry experience is preferred but not required
- This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent GED and a good command of the English language
- Adapt easily to working in a fast-paced team environment with long hours of standing on feet and moving around
