Restaurant Food Server

Bari Italian is an upscale casual restaurant which is located in the Metropolitan building across from McGrath Amphitheater. Bari's kitchen focuses on comfortable authentic Italian cuisine that is fun, fresh and affordable, the bar focuses on handcrafted cocktails with an Italian flair, an approachable wines list and nice mixture of beers from both micro and macro breweries.

FOH: Full Service Food Servers

We are looking for fun, friendly and energetic people to join our new team here at Bari Italian. We operate an upscale authentic Italian restaurant in the Kingston Village district and we need individuals with prior serving experience to provide excellent, timely service to our patrons. We are looking for individuals who are punctual, always smile for our customers, and respond to guest inquiries in a timely manner. To excel in this position, you need a high level of customer service skill and a willingness to meet guests’ needs quickly and politely while at the same time helping coworkers as we are a team.

Responsibilities (but not limited to):

• Take and process guests’ orders in a timely fashion
• Memorize drink and dessert menu for on-demand recitation
• Up-sell desserts and drinks as appropriate for individual guests and parties
• Manage large groups quickly and efficiently through attentive service and precise order taking
• Maintain an upscale dining atmosphere and handle guest complaints/requests quickly
• Be a good teammate with a great attitude and willingness to help

• Comply with health and sanitation guidelines

Qualifications:

• 1+ years waitstaff experience
• Excellent customer service and hospitality skills
• Neat and well groomed appearance
• Ability to work well under intense time pressure
• Excellent emotional control in fast-paced environments
• Dedication to on-time arrival for shifts
• Great communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Culinary school degree is a plus

Compensation:

Servers receive $5.75 per hour plus Tips

50% off food for the employee

Completion of BarStarts & BarSmarts training after employment will result in per hour raise
