A restaurant server plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive dining experience for customers. This position requires light cooking & bartending, no experience required.
Job Title: Restaurant Attendant/PM
Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Assist customers with menu selections, providing recommendations and answering questions about dishes.
- Take and accurately record food and beverage orders from customers.
Order Processing:
- Enter orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system promptly and accurately.
- Communicate special requests or modifications to the kitchen staff.
Food and Beverage Delivery:
- Serve food and beverages to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure orders are accurate and complete before delivering to the table.
- Monitor and anticipate the needs of customers, such as refilling drinks or providing additional condiments.
Table Maintenance:
- Set up and clean tables before and after each customer's dining experience.
- Ensure tables are properly set with utensils, napkins, and other necessary items.
- Clear dishes and clean tables promptly after customers finish their meals.
Payment Handling:
- Present bills to customers and process payments accurately.
- Handle cash transactions, make change, and provide receipts.
- Collaborate with other staff to ensure a smooth and efficient payment process.
Customer Satisfaction:
- Address customer concerns or complaints professionally and promptly.
- Ensure overall customer satisfaction by checking in with diners and addressing any issues.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication and coordination of orders.
- Collaborate with other staff members to provide efficient and attentive service.
Cleanliness and Hygiene:
- Adhere to hygiene and cleanliness standards in all work areas.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and safe dining environment.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of the menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in order taking.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and prioritize tasks.
- Familiarity with POS systems and handling cash transactions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in customer service or the foodservice industry is a plus.
- Training in food safety and sanitation is desirable.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 per hour
