Restaurant Attendant

A restaurant server plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive dining experience for customers. This position requires light cooking & bartending, no experience required.

Job Title: Restaurant Attendant/PM

Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

• Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
• Assist customers with menu selections, providing recommendations and answering questions about dishes.
• Take and accurately record food and beverage orders from customers.

Order Processing:

• Enter orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system promptly and accurately.
• Communicate special requests or modifications to the kitchen staff.

Food and Beverage Delivery:

• Serve food and beverages to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ensure orders are accurate and complete before delivering to the table.
• Monitor and anticipate the needs of customers, such as refilling drinks or providing additional condiments.

Table Maintenance:

• Set up and clean tables before and after each customer's dining experience.
• Ensure tables are properly set with utensils, napkins, and other necessary items.
• Clear dishes and clean tables promptly after customers finish their meals.

Payment Handling:

• Present bills to customers and process payments accurately.
• Handle cash transactions, make change, and provide receipts.
• Collaborate with other staff to ensure a smooth and efficient payment process.

Customer Satisfaction:

• Address customer concerns or complaints professionally and promptly.
• Ensure overall customer satisfaction by checking in with diners and addressing any issues.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication and coordination of orders.
• Collaborate with other staff members to provide efficient and attentive service.

Cleanliness and Hygiene:

• Adhere to hygiene and cleanliness standards in all work areas.
• Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and safe dining environment.

Requirements:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of the menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in order taking.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and prioritize tasks.
• Familiarity with POS systems and handling cash transactions.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in customer service or the foodservice industry is a plus.
• Training in food safety and sanitation is desirable.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 24 per week
