A Respite Worker is responsible for several tasks related to caring for someone unable to care for themselves. Depending on the location in which they work, the duties may vary, but they are primarily tasked with assisting with daily living activities such as:
- Helping people get around
- Performing hygiene tasks, such as brushing teeth, bathing, combing hair and changing clothing
- Administering medications and adhering to a strict dosing schedule
- Helping people use the restroom
- Feeding
- Checking vital signs, such as temperature or blood pressure
- Socializing
- Planning and supervising activities
A Respite Worker who provides care within a patient's home may also assist with additional tasks, such as:
- Light housekeeping and cleaning
- Transporting to and from doctors' appointments and other outings
- Preparing meals
- Running errands
This job location is in Kenosha County and Racine County you must have a car with a valid drivers license. Also this is working with Child with disabilities.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
Experience:
- Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)
