Respiratory Therapist

Van Buren County Hospital is seeking a CRT or RRT to join our Respiratory Therapy team in the weekend package position. As a Respiratory Therapist in a critical access hospital your skills will be utilized in various areas throughout the hospital. Your responsibilities will include: routine respiratory care procedures, PFTs ABGs, EKGs, Aerosol therapy, O2 therapy, CPAP/BiPAP, ventilator, holter monitors, cardiopulmonary rehab, charges, documentation, and patient education.

You must be a graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program and have an Iowa license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner. Must have or be willing to obtain BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Mandatory Reporter.

This is a weekend package position which consists of 3, 12-hour shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, plus a rotating call shift. Weekend package employees work 50 out of 52 weekends a year and receive a 50% wage premium over their established base. Weekend package employees are also eligible for an end of year bonus if they work all of their scheduled weekends.
