Responsibilities:

• Monitor patient responses to therapy and consult with physicians about adverse reactions.
• Assist in medical procedures as part of a healthcare team.
• Set up and operate devices, including ventilators and gas administration equipment.
• Follow treatment parameters specified.
• Provide emergency care, including CPR and cardiac massage.
• Inspect, test, clean, and maintain therapy equipment.
• Maintain patient charts containing therapy information.
• Assess patient condition through measurements and tests.
• Relay blood analysis results to physicians.
• Address equipment issues through emergency visits and repairs.
• Explain treatment procedures to patients.
• Conduct pulmonary function tests.

Qualifications:

• Completed accredited respiratory therapy program or technical course
• Registered or certified by NBRC
• Valid RCP license in state of practice
• Current RN/LPN license in state of practice
• Experience in respiratory, emergency, and intensive care
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance
• Current BLS/CPR certification from AHA or Red Cross
• Strong understanding of pulmonary function and rehabilitation
• Experience with respiratory equipment

Job Types: Part-time, Per diem, Contract

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Supplemental pay types:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Respiratory therapy: 1 year (Required)
