The Respiratory Therapy Extern position is designed for Respiratory Therapy Students who have completed their first year in an AMA accredited respiratory therapy program. The extern is directly responsible to the preceptor. She/he is responsible for assisting in the delivery of basic respiratory therapy care under the direction and general supervision of a RRT/CRT.

Qualifications:
- Must have completed first year in an AMA accredited respiratory program with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater on a 4.0 scale; Must be currently enrolled in an AMA respiratory therapy program and recommended for employment by their program director/clinical educator;
- Indiana State Respiratory Student Permit required;
- BLS certification from approved BLS course required, will provide training
