We're looking for a Respiratory Care Practitioner with experience in coronary and pulmonary care. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting our staff at the Critical and Intensive Care unit with the management of respiratory problems. This includes diagnosing and treating patients with acute, life-threatening conditions and assisting with a variety of complex procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to a medical emergency.
- Be supportive, compassionate, and courteous toward all members of the health care team, patients, and their families.
- Respond to a patient's call light within 15 seconds.
- Be familiar with all hospital policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate proper infection control measures.
- Make bedside checks of all patients in the unit every hour.

We are seeking compassionate and professional Respiratory Care Practitioners looking for a new opportunity of delivering patient care. Critical Care and ALS Transport requires “outside of the box” thinking and strong problem-solving skills.
Viewpoint Ambulance is now hiring Full time, Part-Time, On-call, 12 hour
RCP shifts.
The CCT Transport Nurse provides direct patient care to the ill and injured during the transport and operates within the scope of a California Registered Nurse with an expanded scope as approved by Viewpoint Ambulance Medical Direction.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responds to patient care and/or critical care transport unit calls according to program protocols
- Provides high-quality routine, emergency, and critical RCP care of the patient in the transport environment in accordance with established CCT program.
- Documents all assessment findings, therapeutic interventions performed, and patient responses on the electronic CCT Patient Care Record
- Notes and documents all Physicians’ transport orders
- The CCT/ALS RCP is responsible for the care of the patient including any emergency procedures the patient may require while under their care. These procedures may include but are not limited to CPR and emergency airway maintenance
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Participates in CCT Program Quality Improvement activities
- Maintains adequate knowledge of and complies with all company policies and procedures, codes of safe practice, and Critical Care Transport policies and patient care guidelines
- Maintains personal knowledge of current critical care RCP practice
- Completes documentation on Controlled Substances per CCT policy
- Participates in company-wide programs such as Safety and Risk Management and Code of Conduct
- Demonstrates effective communication skills with all external and internal customers, including patient and their families, hospital staff, the community,
EMT’s, ALS/BLS Operations personnel and CCT/IFT administration
- Attends and participates in all required staff meetings and annual training
- Maintains all required licensure and certifications in accordance with company policy
- Represents the CCT program and Viewpoint Ambulance in a professional manner
REGISTERED NURSE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Current, unencumbered license to practice as a RCP within
- Two years of recent Critical Care experience (ICU or ER)
California
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS provider status
- Valid California Driver’s License
- Minimum of two years of RCP experience in a critical care area relevant to the type of CCT transports the RCP will provide (adult vs pediatrics)
