The Grand Hotel Golf Resort & Spa located in beautiful Point Clear, AL is looking to hire a Resort Manager!

Summary

As a member of our Senior Leadership Team, the primary responsibility of the Resort Manager is to provide strategic leadership and management to the overall operation of the resort including Food & Beverage, Rooms, Loss Prevention, Spa, and acting as GM in the absence of the General Manager. This role is responsible for ensuring effective communication, goal alignment, and decision-making within the departments while championing change. A crucial part of this role is to be highly visible and interface with guests to obtain feedback and address guest concerns that are resolved by embodying the highest standards of hospitality. This role works closely with department leadership to develop and implement hotel-wide strategies and brand initiatives.

Detailed Job Summary

  • Develop and implement comprehensive operational strategies for Rooms, Food and Beverage, Spa, and Loss Prevention (LP) departments, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives to drive success.
  • Optimize work processes and systems to support the seamless execution of operational strategies, enhancing efficiency and productivity.
  • Promote effective communication within the Rooms, Food and Beverage, Spa, and Loss Prevention teams through staff meetings, departmental meetings, and fostering a collaborative and informed environment.
  • Identify key drivers of business success and integrate departmental goals into action plans, guiding leadership toward achieving desired results

.• Champion change proactively, overseeing the implementation of brand and regional business initiatives, and effectively communicating follow-up actions to the team

.• Stay ahead of market trends and competition through research and competitive analysis, introducing innovative ideas to maintain a competitive edge.

  • Collaborate with direct reports to evaluate in-house business and potential opportunities in the surrounding area, encouraging calculated risk-taking for incremental revenue growth while upholding exceptional guest service.
  • Oversee Rooms and Food and Beverage audits, strictly adhering to standard operating procedures, and taking prompt corrective action when necessary

.• Ensure strict compliance with all franchised/licensed/brand requirements, safeguarding brand standards and reputation

.• Proactively identify operational challenges and analyze root causes, developing effective solutions and preventive measures.• Cultivate a guest-centric atmosphere across all Rooms, Food and Beverage, Spa, and LP areas, consistently exceeding guest expectations for an exceptional experience.

  • Maintain a strong relationship with competitors to share industry best practices and prepare contingency plans for potential guest displacement.• Regularly review staffing levels to optimize guest service, operational efficiency, and financial objectives, ensuring a well-balanced workforce.
  • Conduct thorough property tours, engaging with associates and guests to understand business needs and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Housekeeping, and Food and Beverage to conduct public space walk-throughs, ensuring guest areas and back-of-the-house spaces are well-maintained with appropriate preventive measures.
  • Work closely with the community and local officials to resolve operational issues in a mutually beneficial manner, fostering positive relationships.• Exemplify a passionate advocate for the brand's service vision, fostering alignment among the Rooms, Food and Beverage, Spa, and LP leadership teams

.• Articulate and communicate the key drivers of guest satisfaction for the brand's target customer profile, while ensuring core service elements are consistently implemented.• Establish systems to enable associates to understand guest satisfaction results and take appropriate actions for continuous improvement.

  • Maintain high visibility and regularly interact with customers to obtain feedback on product quality, service levels, and overall satisfaction, effectively resolving any guest problems or concerns.
  • Thoroughly review guest feedback, satisfaction results, and other data to identify improvement opportunities, share insights with the leadership team, and take prompt corrective actions.
  • Create appropriate development plans for direct reports, based on individual strengths, development needs, career aspirations, and abilities.
  • Identify and plan for future talent needs to strengthen the team and ensure a robust leadership pipeline.• Maintain a presence with associates on the property, actively soliciting feedback and addressing concerns to ensure fair and equitable treatment.• Ensure culture of resort is Associate Satisfaction is first. • Drive the resorts guest experience by continued development of elements that accomplish loyalty, reasons to return.
