Resnick Education Wing (REW) Basic Stagehand

Carnegie Hall seeks a basic crew member to fill a position within the Resnick Education Wing (REW), with emphasis on audio engineering. This individual should have technical capacity, depth of expertise and experience with 21st century equipment and usage to service diverse programming and meet programmatic needs of all events within the REW.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Working under the supervision of the Director of Operations, the qualified candidate must be able to perform the duties outlined below including but not limited to the following:

• Operate theatrical lighting, audio, and video systems, with emphasis on live sound mixing of events.
• Understand and interpret technical production documents such as light plots, audio input lists, stage plots, stage layouts, etc.
• Perform assigned routine maintenance.
• Perform other stagehand duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience working in a first-class venue including:

• Execute the technical aspects of each event, including audio, video, and theatrical lighting.
• Ability to maintain and update firmware and software versions for audio, video and lighting systems hardware and control platforms.
• Ability to interpret event technical documents, including riders, diagrams, input lists, plots, cue lists.
• Familiar with industry standard professional audio equipment, including audio consoles, backline, and microphones, including Shure wireless.
• Expertise with mixing consoles Yamaha CL-5 and QL-1.
• Knowledge of network-based audio routing, Dante network with Yamaha Rios and other Dante equipment manufacturers.
• Working knowledge of Crestron control systems.
• Punctuality, professionalism, and a positive collaborate attitude when working with constituents and colleagues.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work long hours within a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to move heavy equipment.
