DUTIES INCLUDE: (This list may not be all inclusive.) Develop new business and relationships (residential home builders, realtors, attorneys, CPA's, financial advisors, existing customers) and employee referrals. Cross sell Bank services. Prepare pre-qualification letters to assist customers in purchasing and financing their new homes.

Originate conforming/non-conforming residential mortgage applications by phone, fax, email, online channels and in person, including counseling customers on various mortgage products and completing customer applications. Ensure that all applications are complete, including preparation and issuance of required disclosures. Prepare initial mortgage applications, including calculations of debt and LTV ratios, reviewing mortgage credit report, and property appraisal.

Maintain loan documentation in customers file and ensure policies and procedures are followed. Update loan records as required. Reviews files, ensuring all required documents are present and accounted for.

Apply requirements relating to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and Customer Identification Program (CIP) including Beneficial Ownership (BO). Apply all the regulatory requirements during the performance of the job duties as assigned. Complete all annual required BSA and other bank compliance training as assigned in a timely manner.

REQUIREMENTS: High School degree or equivalent. Minimum 3 years' experience in mortgage banking preferably as a loan officer/originator. Demonstrated understanding of entire mortgage loan process from sales origination through post-closing, and of mortgage policies and procedures, compliance, and federal/state regulations.

Knowledge of Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, FHA, and VA guidelines. NMLS Certified or eligible for registration. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Attention to detail necessary. PC proficient, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the Internet. Knowledge of Encompass Loan Operating Software is preferred.

Excellent verbal, written, telephone and interpersonal communication skills. Strong service orientation and willingness to sell products and services. Ability to handle multiple projects/priorities simultaneously and produce the required results.

Ability to function in a financial institution environment (including Bank Branches) and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to fax, copier, telephone, etc. Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. and travel locally.
