As a Residential Interior Designer, you will have the chance to work on all phases of the design and planning stages, collaborating closely with our Project Manager, Project Coordinator, and Site Hand to bring beautiful visions to life. Some of the responsibilities of this position include:
- Lead and manage the design process from concept development to project completion.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their unique design styles, needs, and project goals, transforming their house into their home.
- Create and present floor plans, mood boards, elevations, and 3D renderings to gain client approvals and meeting cut off dates.
- Oversee the selection of finishes, fixtures, materials, and furnishings while considering functionality, aesthetics, budget and schedule.
- Work closely with the Project Manager, Project Coordinator, and Site Hand to ensure successful execution and creation of design plans.
- Coordinate with Drafter and together produce a complete Plan set for each project.
- Stay up to date with industry design trends and practices.
Requirements
- Degree in interior design or related field of study.
- Proven experiences of at least 5 years in high-end residential design, preferably within a design build environment.
- Produce detailed design drawings, including floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings.
- Create design mold boards specific to each project and client.
- Manage the selection and documentation of finishes, fixtures, materials, and furnishings
- Proficiency in design software such as Chief Architect, Revit, Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong organizational and management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Project management skills and strong confidence in client communication.
- Hands-on install day experience and ability to coordinate project photo and video shoots.
- Lives in the Seattle region. Our projects are primarily in the Northeast Seattle area and nearby. We split the time between the IHR Office, our client's homes and showrooms throughout the week.
