Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Addiction Technician for the role of Residential Counselor at Bloom House RTC. This position involves providing counseling and support for pregnant and parenting women dealing with substance addictions. Collaborating with the program team, you will lead recovery skills groups, oversee daily activities, and contribute to the well-being of mothers and infants in the program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group counseling for pregnant and parenting women.
- Lead recovery groups, life skills sessions, parenting classes, and relapse prevention programs in a residential setting.
- Collaborate with the Program Coordinator to ensure clients are progressing through their individual service plans.
- Monitor and communicate client wellness and behaviors during shifts, documenting as needed.
- Supervise residents' daily schedules, recreation, chores, and meal times.
- Provide transportation to appointments as required.
- Maintain adherence to Bloom House RTC policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Current Addiction Specialist (CAS) certification with CO DORA registration.
- 1-3 years of certified addiction experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a related human service field (preferred but not required).
- Understanding of privacy and confidentiality regulations.
- Proficient in motivational interviewing techniques.
- QMAP certified (or willing to obtain), First Aid, CPR.
- Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation.
- Valid driver's license.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly pay: $22-24.
- Full-time position with three 12-hour shifts, with potential for overtime.
