Automotive OEM/Tier engineering experience including CAD release experience (CATIA 3DX preferred)

Core responsibilities of this role:
Assist Homologation Label Engineers with CAD release and manufacturing data/process checks.
Support VIN / VIN decoder implementation and validation in production (including prototype vehicle production).
Organization and creation of VIN & Label Compliance (V&LC) documentation/information across Confluence, SharePoint, etc.
Top drivers of success in the first 30/60/90 days:
Develop strong relationships with V&LC, Homologation, and Manufacturing teams.
Proven development of knowledge of V&LC requirements and applicability to Client products.
Successfully support/implement changes and conduct compliance/validation audits.
Process and document creation/cleanup captured in internal knowledge systems/databases
Day-to-day will look like:
Support plant production audits/questions
Assist V&LC Engineers with CAD release and manufacturing data/process checks.
Organization and creation of V&LC documentation/information across Confluence, SharePoint, etc.
Client-facing and/or working with business users:
Primarily dealing with Client colleagues and maybe external suppliers.
Is specific industry experience necessary or desired:
Automotive (OEM/Tier) preferred. Industrial OEM/Tier also ok, but with regulatory/safety labeling and VIN experience.
Position needed to support vehicle production and compliance validation activities.
Overview :
The Contract Resident Engineer, VIN & Label Compliance role will be part of a growing team driving implementation of the vision and mission.
This position will play a key role in implementing VIN and regulatory labels, owning the part release of regulatory labels, and supporting the manufacturing team and other cross-functional domains to ensure the compliance of our products.
Responsibilities :
Primary responsibility as an on-site Resident Engineer to support implementation and validation of vehicle regulatory and safety labels.
Support the process for dynamic data regulatory labels and work with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure integrity of label data and product compliance.
Support manufacturing and IT with defining label printing equipment requirements, PFMEA/Poka-yoke, dynamic data label print testing, and troubleshooting, as necessary.
Conduct Label Compliance audits throughout product development and manufacturing and support any necessary investigations/field actions.
Assist with technical reviews of labeling specifications and troubleshoot issues to ensure compliance to regulatory, design, quality, manufacturing, service, and printing requirements.
Support vehicle VIN integration within various cross-functional areas of the organization.
Assist with vehicle VIN scribe implementation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
Support with various V&LC process documents creation, storage and organization, and revisions.
Occasionally assist with various vehicle homologation inspections and audits.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline.
0-1 years experience in automotive engineering, preferably with an automotive OEM.
0-1 years experience of demonstrated design skills and experience with technical drawings and part release tools (CAD/CATIA/ENOVIA/Adobe Illustrator).
0-1 years experience with automotive and/or charging product regulatory and safety warning labeling.
Extremely dedicated attention to detail that is necessary to communicate regulatory compliance information and documentation.
Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships across the organization as well as with external suppliers and vendors.
Comfortable in a manufacturing environment and ability to adapt to flexible working hours and conditions.
