Shift is 2 pm - 10:15 pm, 3 days per week and every other weekend.
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Assistant to join our team. As a Resident Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to our residents. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, a strong sense of empathy, and the ability to work well in a team environment. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications according to prescribed instructions
- Monitor and document residents' health status and report any changes to the nursing staff
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
- Help residents maintain a clean and organized living environment
- Implement behavior management techniques as directed by the care team
- Support residents in participating in social activities and outings
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the overall well-being of residents
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for residents' privacy
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to pass a background check
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred
