Homestead manages a senior living facility in Westland and we are looking for Caregivers and experienced Med Techs. We are looking to grow our team with those who share our passion and enthusiasm by providing the best experience for our residents. As a caregiver, you have the opportunity to provide physical and emotional support to our residents who are elderly, disabled, or recovering from an illness. Additionally, it allows you to develop valuable skills such as patience, empathy, and communication.
As a Med Tech you will be in charge of:
- Providing assistance to residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking
- Administering medications and injections to residents based on physicians’ orders recorded in medical charts
- Ensuring the cleanliness of the environment which may involve light housekeeping duties
- Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures
- Monitoring for changes in residents’ conditions and promptly communicate any changes to the supervisor
- Following schedule, assisting residents with repositioning
- Adhering to procedures regarding documenting of medications accurately
- Utilize good judgment in providing client care and ensuring their safety
- Assisting other team members with their duties as necessary
- Responding to call lights and assess residents’ needs promptly
- Obtain meal trays and assist with eating
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements we ask of you:
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Minimum age of 18 years old
- Experience in medication administration and working with seniors
- High school diploma or GED
- Reliable transportation
- Availability to work every other weekend is required
