Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Aide to join our team. As a Resident Aide, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to our residents. This position requires excellent caregiving skills, knowledge of resident rights, and experience in home care. Duties:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents
- Monitor and manage resident behavior, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Administer medication under the supervision of a nurse or healthcare professional
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and organized living space for residents
- Document resident observations and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate staff
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in caregiving or senior care is preferred
- Knowledge of resident rights and regulations related to long-term care facilities
- Ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, and staff members
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle challenging behaviors with patience and empathy
- Basic knowledge of meal preparation and nutrition guidelines
- Familiarity with memory care techniques is a plus
- Ability to take vital signs is a plus
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Up to $18.00 per hour
